Laveen is one of the truly rural communities left in Arizona. A small community in Maricopa County, Laveen residents' auto glass repair needs are met by New Image Auto Glass®, expert windshield repair and replacement technicians.

The boundaries of the community are clearly defined, and much of the area lies within the city limits of Phoenix. The Salt River and South Mountain Park are the north and south borders, respectively, with the Gila River Indian Community bordering the west and 27th Avenue bordering the east.

Laveen's economy relies heavily on agriculture, and many residents are farmers who raise corn and cotton. Residents in general have a unique sense of humor about their rural town, with a popular bumper sticker reading, "Come to Laveen and Smell Our Dairy-Air." Typical of Arizona, Laveen experiences a hot, arid climate for much of the year, with rainy seasons in the spring and late summer. Atypical of many places in Arizona, the community occasionally sees some snow on the nearby Estrella Mountains from winter storms. While very close in proximity to urban Phoenix, the Salt River has always provided a distinct barrier between the metropolitan setting and the rural character of Laveen, Arizona.

Laveen residents who don't work in the agricultural industry often commute into nearby Phoenix for work, and the proposed construction of a new portion of Loop 202 to pass through the area should make the commute simpler. Laveen has experienced some recent growth and the emphasis on agriculture has lessened somewhat, but the town maintains its open spaces and natural landscape.
